Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects, requiring a versatile skill set and a proactive attitude. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient completion of tasks, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained throughout all operations. Previous experience in horticulture, gardening, or construction is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

  • Assisting with landscape maintenance, including planting, mowing, and general garden care
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment safely and effectively
  • Supporting excavation activities using machinery such as excavators under supervision
  • Performing general maintenance tasks on site to ensure a safe and tidy environment
  • Assisting with construction-related activities, including material handling and site preparation
  • Using mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment and tools
  • Supporting gardening and horticultural tasks to promote healthy plant growth
  • Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the day

Experience

  • Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is preferred but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is beneficial
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as excavators is a plus
  • Experience in general maintenance or horticulture will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
  • A proactive approach with good organisational skills and attention to safety standards
