Dual-Site Dental Practice ManagerJob Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, organised and motivated Dual-Site Dental Practice Manager to oversee two established, fully private dental practices located in Billericay and Ingatestone.

This is a key leadership role responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of both practices, with a particular focus on team management, HR, payroll, staff rotas, compliance, financial administration, marketing and continued practice development.

Both practices are fully private, well-established and independently run, with a strong reputation for clinical excellence and exceptional patient care. Collectively, the practices and their teams have won multiple awards including Best Clinical Practice, Best Private Practice and Best Aesthetic Practice.

Both practices have passed CQC inspections within the last 12 months, demonstrating they were safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Practice Principals while taking ownership of the daily operational management of both locations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of both dental practices, ensuring they run efficiently and maintain excellent standards of patient care.
  • Lead, support and motivate the teams across both locations, helping to maintain a positive and professional working environment.
  • Take responsibility for staff rotas, annual leave, sickness cover and ensuring appropriate staffing levels across both practices.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll information, including hours, overtime, sickness, holidays and other adjustments.
  • Manage day-to-day HR responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, staff records, probationary reviews, appraisals, absence management and performance issues, with support from our external HR advisers where required.
  • Organise regular team meetings, training, development activities and team-building events.
  • Oversee practice compliance and governance, ensuring policies, audits, training and required documentation remain up to date and that the excellent standards demonstrated through our recent CQC inspections are maintained.
  • Manage stock control, ordering and relationships with key suppliers and service providers across both practices.
  • Support financial administration, expense control and monitoring of practice performance.
  • Maintain excellent patient service standards and assist with the effective management of patient feedback and complaints.
  • Coordinate marketing activities, including patient communications, social media, promotions and initiatives to support practice growth.
  • Work with the Practice Principals to identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiency, patient experience and overall practice performance.
  • Ensure effective communication between both practices, taking ownership of issues and following agreed actions through to completion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience within a dental practice environment is highly desirable, ideally with management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong organisational and people-management skills.
  • Experience with HR, staff rotas, payroll administration or financial management would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of dental practice workflows, patient care and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence managing and motivating a team.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively while overseeing two locations.
  • Comfortable using practice management software (Exact), HR/rota systems, email and spreadsheets.
  • Practice management qualifications or relevant leadership training would be advantageous but are not essential.

About You

We are looking for someone who is proactive, approachable, organised and dependable. You should be comfortable taking ownership, solving problems and ensuring that tasks are followed through.

You will play an important role in bringing our two practice teams together, maintaining the high standards of care, governance and teamwork that we are committed to maintaining.

This is an exciting opportunity to join two award-winning, fully private dental practices and have a genuine influence on their continued success and development.
