Clinic Hub Nurse

Location: Birmingham
Hours: 30 hours per week over 4 days
Salary: £28,800 per annum (£36,000 FTE)

The Private Clinic Group Ltd is looking for a professional and patient-focused Clinic Hub Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join our Birmingham team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified nurse or ODP with strong clinical standards and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care within a cosmetic surgery environment.

The successful candidate will support patients throughout their journey with The Private Clinic Birmingham Hub, including pre-assessment, admissions, scrub for minor procedures, discharge and aftercare. You will work closely with surgeons, clinicians and the wider Group nursing team to ensure a safe, caring and professional experience for every patient.

This role also includes participation in the out-of-hours on-call rota for patient phone support. This is a shared commitment across the full week, including evenings and weekends. An additional allowance is made for this responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care throughout the patient journey, making every patient feel cared for and valued
  • Carry out pre-operative assessments and phlebotomy duties
  • Admit and discharge patients within the minor procedures department
  • Assist surgeons and qualified practitioners during minor cosmetic surgical procedures
  • Prepare clinical and theatre areas, including instruments and equipment
  • Deliver follow-up care and patient advice post-procedure
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and theatre documentation
  • Support stock control and ordering of clinical supplies
  • Ensure patient safety and compliance with CQC and company standards
  • Act as a chaperone for doctors and nurses where required
  • Report incidents and clinical risks in line with company policy
  • Work flexibly to support the needs of the clinic and wider service across the Group

About You

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current HCPC registration
  • Previous clinical experience within surgical, cosmetic or theatre settings desirable
  • Confident in phlebotomy and patient assessments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs
  • Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota across the full week
