A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated HLTA or Unqualified Teacher to join their supportive team from September 2026 on a 1-year fixed term contract.
This varied role combines whole-class cover teaching with behaviour, pastoral, and wellbeing support across the school. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and an inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons across the primary phase
- Support pupils with behaviour, wellbeing, SEND, and SEMH needs
- Lead targeted interventions and restorative behaviour support
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Promote a calm, consistent, and nurturing school environment
The ideal candidate will have
- HLTA status or relevant classroom experience
- Strong behaviour management and classroom practice
- Confidence delivering lessons to whole classes
- Knowledge of restorative and de-escalation approaches
- A calm, resilient, and child-centred approach
