Full job description

We have a great opportunity for a second chef or experienced & confident kitchen asssitant to join our team at Trefach Country Club & Holiday Park for the remainder of the school holidays.

You must be confident in all food preparation and have a proven track record in a busy, kitchen environment.

The second chef/kitchen assistant will assist and support the Head Chef with all day-to-day kitchen support functions such as food preparation and storage, kitchen paperwork and occasional food serving. Clearing down and keeping the kitchen area cleaning and before and after service will also form part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out all aspects of food preparation and ensure good quality dishes are served.
  • Deputise in the the kitchen when the Head Chef is not on shift or on annual leave.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • ·Minimum of level 2 food safety and hygiene certification (or willingness to work towards if this has expired).
  • Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of general cooking methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail and care at all times.

The hours available for this role will vary but include Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs 10am-9pm and and are flexible for the right candidate. A minimum of 40 hours over 7 days each week can be guaranteed for the remainder of August.
