Deli Chef – Full Time

Bolt Deli BelfastStarting Salary: £31,200 per year40 hours per week | 8am–4pm | 5 days per week | Closed Sundays

Bolt Deli Belfast is looking for a full-time Deli Chef to join our busy, fast-moving team.

This is a full-time 40-hour per week role, working 8am–4pm, five days per week, Monday to Saturday, with alternate Saturdays off. We are closed every Sunday.

The role offers a starting salary of £31,200 per year, equivalent to £15.00 per hour, along with 28 days’ paid annual leave per year, inclusive of bank/public holidays.

At Bolt Deli, our Deli Chefs are central to the customer experience. You will work across our deli counter and production kitchen areas, helping with prep, set-up, sandwich builds, food presentation, freshness, consistency, and service flow.

We are a high-volume New York-inspired deli with a strong team culture, excellent standards, and lots of opportunity for growth.

The Role

You will be part of a two-person deli chef team rota’d Monday to Saturday, working closely with our kitchen, production, Grab & Go, and floor teams.

Your day will include:

  • Morning prep and section set-up
  • Preparing sandwiches, deli items, Grab & Go products, and fresh counter items
  • Following spec sheets, portion controls, and menu builds
  • Maintaining excellent food presentation, quality, freshness, and consistency
  • Supporting quarterly menu refreshes and new product launches
  • Working closely with the kitchen and floor team to ensure smooth service
  • Maintaining strong food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards
  • Completing daily close-down, cleaning, and section handover duties

Food safety and allergen awareness are extremely important in this role. Ongoing training will be provided.
