Unqualified Teaching Assistant - Preston
September Start | Primary School Role | Full-Time Opportunities
Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in education? Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Preston from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and keen to gain hands-on experience in a school setting. You do not need formal Teaching Assistant qualifications, but you should be confident, caring, patient and willing to learn.
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant in Preston, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You may provide general classroom support, work with small groups, help children with their learning, and support pupils with additional needs, including SEN, autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social and emotional needs.
The role will involve:
- Supporting children with their learning and development in the classroom
- Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Helping the class teacher prepare resources and manage activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and confidence
- Supporting children with SEN or additional needs where required
- Creating a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in working with children
- Is patient, positive and reliable
- Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Is willing to learn and take direction from teaching staff
- Has previous experience with children, care, youth work, tutoring, sports coaching, nursery work or support work
- Is available to start in September in a Preston primary school
This role would suit someone looking to become a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant or someone considering a future career in teaching.
