Technical Administrator / Water Responsible Person (Water RP)

Location: Princess Royal University Hospital, BR6 8ND
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Contract: 6-Month Temporary Assignment (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Administrator / Water Responsible Person (Water RP) to join the Water Treatment & Wet Services Department at Princess Royal University Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to join a fast-paced facilities environment, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee commercial hot and cold water systems.
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of engineers.
  • Process technical data and produce accurate weekly and monthly reports using various reporting platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with water safety legislation and best practice guidance.
  • Monitor and interpret water sampling results where required.
  • Prioritise workloads effectively within a busy operational environment.
  • Support the development and growth of the internal water treatment team.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of commercial hot and cold water systems.
  • Supervisory or management experience leading engineering teams.
  • Experience servicing Thermostatic Mixer Valves (TMVs/TMTs).
  • Good understanding of HSG274 and HTM 04-01 guidance.
  • Knowledge of Legionella and Pseudomonas aeruginosa sampling procedures.
  • Excellent administrative, reporting and data processing skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Desirable Skills

  • Plumbing knowledge or experience.
  • Ability to interpret laboratory sample results.
  • Experience producing business plans or strategies to develop internal teams.
