Full job description

We're a busy independent print shop based in London and we're looking for an experienced, Digital Print Operator to join our close knit team.

We are seeking a detail oriented and skilled Digital Print Operator to join our manufacturing team. If you love the craft of print from start to finish, take pride in quality at every stage, and enjoy getting stuck in across the whole production process, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate digital printing machinery to produce customised prints according to specifications.
  • Monitor print jobs throughout the production process, ensuring colour accuracy and print quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Prepare substrates and materials for printing, including loading and aligning media.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

You'll be running digital sheet fed presses and wide format digital, but you'll also be comfortable stepping into finishing when needed, whether that's cutting, laminating, mounting, or binding.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Operating and maintaining digital sheet-fed print equipment
  • Colour management and press profiling to ensure consistent, accurate output
  • Preparing and preflight-checking files using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Managing jobs through EFI / Fiery RIP from intake to finished output
  • Hands-on finishing work, trimming, laminating, mounting, and more
  • Identifying and resolving print and finishing quality issues efficiently
  • Working to tight deadlines without compromising on quality

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a digital print environment
  • Confident operating wide format and/or sheet-fed digital presses
  • Solid working knowledge of EFI / Fiery RIP
  • Competent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Experience in a finishing environment — laminating, cutting, mounting etc.
  • A genuine all-rounder who takes pride in the whole job, not just their bit
  • Strong eye for colour and detail
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and a great team player
