Full job description

GPS Colour Graphics Ltd is looking for a reliable and motivated Printers Assistant / Press Helper to join our busy production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is practical, hardworking and keen to learn. Previous experience in a print environment would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.

THE ROLE

Working as part of a busy production team, you will assist our printing press operators and help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the pressroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Loading and unloading the printing press
  • Preparing and issuing paper, inks and other production materials
  • Checking and maintaining production records
  • Assisting with press cleaning and routine maintenance
  • Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
  • Supporting press operators to achieve production targets and schedules
  • Following all company procedures and instructions
  • Carrying out other duties associated with the efficient running of the pressroom

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including days and nights
  • Ability to work in a busy production environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to agreed schedules

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

HOURS OF WORK

12-hour shift rotation – days and nights

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Full-time | Permanent
28 days (210 hours) bookable annual leave
