Keyworker (Female Only) - HMP Eastwood Park
The Nelson Trust is a leading charity providing trauma-informed support to people with multiple and complex needs, helping individuals build positive, healthy and fulfilling lives.
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Keyworker to join our Women's Community Services team at HMP Eastwood Park. This rewarding role supports women involved in the Criminal Justice System, providing holistic, person-centred support that empowers women to overcome barriers, reduce reoffending and create positive futures.
Salary: £27,000 - £28,500 per annum
Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week Monday - Friday)
Location: HMP Eastwood Park
What will you do
- Manage a caseload of women residing in HMP Eastwood Park, providing tailored practical and emotional support
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop collaborative, strengths-based action plans
- Support women with housing, health, substance misuse, finances, family relationships, education, training and employment opportunities
- Work closely with prison staff, probation services, healthcare teams and other partner agencies to coordinate effective support
- Advocate on behalf of women at multi-agency meetings and, where required, attend court proceedings
- Maintain accurate records, monitor progress and promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes
What we are looking for
- Experience of supporting women with multiple and complex needs
- Understanding of issues such as trauma, domestic abuse, substance misuse and offending behaviour
- Ability to build trusting relationships and engage women who may face barriers to accessing services
- Experience of carrying out assessments, managing risk and developing individual support plans
- Strong communication, organisational and caseload management skills
- Commitment to trauma-informed practice and the values of The Nelson Trust
