Parkwood Care is an established and growing organisation with a clear pathway for career progression.

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and forward-thinking people who want to be part of a vibrant, genuinely child-centred service.

About the role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day care and support to young people aged 9–17 living in one of our three-bed children’s homes.

Our young people may experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). You will help them feel safe, build trusted relationships and develop the skills they need for their future.

The role includes:

  • Building positive and consistent relationships
  • Supporting young people with their daily routines
  • Planning activities and creating positive experiences
  • Promoting independence and emotional wellbeing
  • Working as part of a supportive staff team
  • Helping young people work towards their individual goals

Our approach

Our unique programme of care focuses on helping young people move towards the right long-term outcome for them. This may include:

  • Returning to their birth family
  • Moving into foster care
  • Preparing for independent living

We also provide transition properties for young people aged 16–21, offering continued support through a Parkwood Care tenancy.

We are passionate about supporting young people into adulthood alongside adults they already know and trust. We pride ourselves on providing continuity of care and relationships that reflect family life.

What we offer

We invest in our staff and recognise the commitment it takes to make a positive difference.

You will receive:

  • 31 days’ annual leave, increasing annually
  • Above-average rates of pay
  • Enhanced DBS check paid for by us
  • Private healthcare
  • Company pension scheme
  • Clinical supervision
  • A comprehensive induction
  • Fully funded training and qualifications
  • Ongoing development and support
  • Clear career progression pathways
  • Staff welfare programme
  • Exciting CPD opportunities

Please note that this role includes sleep-in shifts, which are paid separately.
