Care Manager - Chelmsford

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, caring person to join our office staff as a Care Manager in our Chelmsford office. There is only 1 vacancy for this role to work within a professional team that have been awarded an outstanding from CQC in Leadership and Management.

The role will require management and leadership skills and experience to ensure the delivery of high standards of care and support operating within agreed budgets to achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for giving direction to employees, daily coordination and development of the services through influencing key stakeholders, with a strong focus on choice and control for customers.

There is significant opportunities within the role to progress your management and training skills within a Health and Social Care environment. A successful candidate should want to have the ambition to grow this new branch of Anglian Care and be willing to go above and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

An expectation of the role is that you will have the knowledge and capability to work across all service areas, whilst being responsible and accountable for specific services as directed, carrying out the role in a number of settings as appropriate, including customer’s homes, and the local community. This includes carrying out on the-job observations, supervisions and coaching of staff.

You should be friendly, approachable, supportive, and adaptable to change, with the ability to support the implementation of the developing transformation within Community Support Services.

You will be able to create and develop new and exciting activities and pathways for Anglian Care’s customers, working with your team, our customers and other stakeholders to create a stimulating environment with driven outcomes.

With guidance from the Registered Manager, you will play an active role in the planning and delivery of services to an agreed budget and sales pipeline where you will be actively involved with the setting of.

In addition to this you will be asked to:

  • Oversee and be responsible for regular review of customers risk assessments, support plans, Mental Capacity Act Assessments and guidelines to ensure they are fully up to date, compliant with internal and external regulatory requirements, within the agreed timescales and outcomes and information is stored in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete or oversee team members in completing all Anglian Care Health and Safety policies and procedures – in line with regulations/statutory requirements and Anglian Cares best practice including Quarterly checklists (KPI’s), employee risk assessments, fire risk assessment, COSHH, building/site specific risk assessments, stress survey, hazard reporting, incident reporting and investigation, action plans. Ensure staff complete all relevant training to their role and refresh as required.
  • Maintain appropriate training records.
  • Actively promote sensible health & safety and lead by example
  • Create tailored care packages for our service users so you will need to be accommodating to the specific needs of our clients and show a willingness to go out of your way.
  • Process, allocate and refer all new work efficiently.
  • Process, accept and amend existing care packages.
  • Assigning care workers to the clients, whilst working within the standards and requirements of the company.
  • Ensuring all shifts and working patterns meet the needs of the company, service users, partners and care workers.
  • Liaising with NHS, Local Authority commissioning teams as well as private clients to take new care packages.
  • Liaising with members of our management team and head office.

You will need:

· Minimum NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.

· Evidence of continued professional development.

· Good phone etiquette and communicational skills.

· Knowledge of CQC regulation and the legislation surrounding the care industry.

· Able to be flexible in the role and at times working 'out of office' hours when called upon.

· To have both a full driving license and access to a car.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
