Job Description

We have a new opportunity for a Tenancy Fraud Manager to join our team in London on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting into the Head of Safe Neighbourhoods & Support, you will lead the development and delivery of our tenancy fraud function, driving a proactive and intelligence-led approach to identifying, preventing and investigating tenancy fraud across the tenancy lifecycle.

Working closely with teams across allocations, tenancy management, customer services and legal, you will lead complex investigations, oversee fraud cases through to enforcement action and help ensure homes are occupied by those entitled to them.

You will establish and maintain robust fraud processes, governance frameworks and quality standards, taking ownership of case management oversight and ensuring investigations are conducted consistently and effectively.

Using data from multiple sources, including fraud intelligence and verification tools you will analyse trends, undertake risk assessments, produce detailed reports and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making at senior leadership level.

As this role requires regular travel across our operating areas to conduct investigations, build stakeholder relationships and attend meetings, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Experience of conducting or overseeing investigations to evidential / legal standards.
  • Proven experience leading tenancy fraud, housing fraud or financial crime investigations
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy fraud typologies
  • Excellent customer service delivery, demonstrating good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Resilient and able to deal with challenging situations and deliver sustainable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical capability using data and intelligence to identify fraud patterns
  • Experience working with National Fraud Initiative, data matching tools and CRM systems.

Essential qualifications required:

  • Educated to Level 6 (Degree or equivalent) or higher.
  • Level 4 CIH
  • Qualified or willing to work towards, Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS)
