Full job description

Clinical Lead & Health Assessor

Wellbeing Medical Group | London Bridge, London
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Location: London Bridge, London

About Wellbeing Medical Group

Wellbeing Medical Group is a consultant-led private medical clinic based in the heart of London Bridge, providing personalised specialist healthcare and wellbeing services.

We combine consultant-led medical expertise with a highly personalised patient experience, helping individuals understand their health, explore appropriate treatment and wellbeing options, and access the right clinical support.

We are a growing organisation with a strong focus on high-quality care, patient experience and personalised healthcare.

About the Role

We are looking for a confident, personable and experienced Clinical Lead & Health Assessment Consultant to join our team.

This is a unique role combining health assessment, patient engagement and consultative healthcare services.

Your primary responsibility will be to conduct structured health and wellbeing assessments, predominantly over the telephone. You will take the time to understand each individual's health concerns, objectives and circumstances, identify their needs, and determine whether our services may be appropriate.

You will then guide suitable individuals towards the most appropriate next step, whether that is a consultant appointment, further clinical assessment or one of our health and wellbeing services.

The role requires someone who can combine strong communication and clinical understanding with commercial awareness. You should be comfortable having meaningful conversations about health, identifying genuine opportunities and confidently explaining relevant services without taking a hard-sell approach.

Key Responsibilities

You will conduct telephone-based health assessments, build rapport with prospective patients and use effective questioning to understand their needs, concerns and goals. You will assess suitability for relevant services, establish their level of interest and motivation, and recommend the appropriate next step.

You will also maintain accurate patient records, follow agreed assessment processes and recognise when further clinical input or escalation is required.

As a senior member of the team, you may also support the development of assessment processes, contribute to quality improvement and provide guidance to colleagues where appropriate.

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in healthcare, private medical services, wellbeing, diagnostics or a related environment. Experience conducting consultations, assessments or structured patient conversations is highly desirable.

You will need excellent telephone communication skills, strong listening and questioning abilities, and the confidence to discuss health and wellbeing matters sensitively. You should be naturally consultative, commercially aware and comfortable working towards measurable targets.

A clinical or healthcare qualification would be advantageous, as would experience in private healthcare, medical sales or telephone-based health assessments.

Most importantly, you will be empathetic, professional, confident and trustworthy, with the ability to build relationships quickly and make people feel comfortable discussing their health.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is about understanding the individual first and then identifying the right pathway for them.

You will become an important link between the patient, our clinical team and the services we provide, ensuring that suitable individuals receive the right information and are confidently guided towards the next stage of their healthcare journey.

The journey is simple: Assess → Understand → Qualify → Follow Up.

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
