About Brooks’s

Brooks’s is one of the oldest and most prestigious Private Members’ Clubs, renowned for its heritage, professionalism, and high standards of service. Employees are expected to uphold the Club’s reputation through courteous, respectful, and professional conduct at all times.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Barista/Barman to join our Front of House team. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility across the Club, delivering exceptional service to Members and their Guests in line with Club standards and policies.

You will be expected to work collaboratively, maintain the highest presentation standards, and contribute to a professional, respectful, and efficient working environment.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £28,000 per year
  • 39 hours per week
  • Share of monthly service charge
  • Share of the Staff Christmas Fund, which is paid out in December and March, although any payments from the fund are not guaranteed and do not form part of your contract of employment
  • Monday to Friday schedule (no weekends)

Key Responsibilities

· Serve coffees, afternoon teas, pre- and post-meal beverages, and late-night drinks in accordance with the Club's service standards.

· Assist with beverage service in all rooms when required

· Support the setup and breakdown of private events

· Anticipate Member needs and deliver a personalised service experience.

· Provide a warm, welcoming, "home from home" experience for Members and Guests.

· Maintain clear and professional communication with Front and Back of House.

· Coordinate service with team members, supporting colleagues and taking initiative to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery.

· Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of all service areas, ensuring equipment and workspaces are consistently well-maintained and ready for use.

Working Hours

  • 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Straight shifts (3,45pm to 12am)
  • Flexibility required in line with operational demands
  • Overtime available

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in bar service
