Full job description

We are looking for a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join the Targeted Provision team on a permanent and remote basis, working to support the communication of our vision and mission to the wider educational community as we drive forward support for the UK’s vulnerable young people.

At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK.

We work with schools and local authorities to provide specialist tutors and mentors for children and young people with additional educational needs.

We also support mentoring and engagement / re-engagement for young people in need of Alternative Provision. We believe that with the right support and role model in their lives, every child can grow in confidence and succeed in learning.

Our philosophy of team growth and development is person-centred and ethos-led, ensuring that every member of the company is aligned with our mission and can deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people we support.

We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of safeguarding for our children and young people. We work exclusively with vulnerable learners, and it is crucial that we maintain the highest standard of safeguarding and child protection for those young people receiving our support. Due to the vulnerable nature of the young people we support, we manage a high number of concerns on a daily basis. The role holder will be supported by three deputy DSLs who are also carrying out other roles. This role is a crucial element of ensuring that our child-centred approach is of the highest quality.

What we can offer you

  • A starting salary of £35,000p/a (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Six monthly salary reviews
  • The flexibility of a remote role
  • Extensive CPD and upskilling opportunities, including unlimited access to the full Tes CPD suite
  • Termly company events with the wider Targeted Provision Team
  • Working within an early-stage company focussed on the development and wellbeing of its team, with BUPA cash-plan and 24/7 employee assistance programme
  • A place within an ambitious and fast-growing company of child-centred individuals committed to transforming the world of support for vulnerable young people for the better
  • The opportunity to be heard, make real change within the team, and be part of the growth of an ambitious organisation

We are excited to offer this extensive benefits package to ensure we can work with the most impact-led individuals the UK has to offer!
