Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced personal assistant/secretary to join our reputable law firm to support our lawyers in our family law department, which undertakes a large percentage of legal aid work.
Duties include
- Assisting the fee earners with day to day tasks such as diary management, typing and routine telephone calls.
- Completing legal aid applications (training will be provided to the right candidate)
- Drafting Counsel Briefs, Notices and other Court documents as required by the fee earner
- Time recording and monitoring emails in the fee earners absence.
Requirements
- Experience in administrative duties and file management
- Experience in family law with legal aid experience being an advantage
- Excellent phone etiquette skills
- Familiarity with a case management system would be an advantage but training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
