ABOUT BathroomsByDesign

BathroomsByDesign is an established, privately owned West London bathroom specialist with more than 20 years of experience and a strong reputation for combining design expertise, personal service and technology-enabled retail. Our industry-leading 3D design platform allows customers to visualise their bathroom and receive a tailored quotation within a single consultation, creating a more confident, efficient and engaging purchasing journey.

As a one-stop destination for bathroom and tile design and supply, we operate an integrated showroom and digital commerce model, supported by an extensive product range and a growing portfolio of distinctive in-house brands. These include award-winning AVA Brassware, alongside Faeber, StoneKAST, European Tiles and London Showers.

Building on our established customer proposition and technology capabilities, we are now entering an ambitious new phase of growth: scaling our design-led merchandising model, expanding our own-brand portfolio and strengthening the commercial infrastructure required to serve customers across showrooms, digital channels and future growth platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES - OUR THREE MERCHANDISING PILLARS

01

DMG OWN-BRAND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT DMG means Design Manufacturing Group: our in-house own-brand products.

  • Coordinate the new product development lifecycle from customer insight, product designs and quotations through samples, reviews, approvals, ordering, product setup and launch.
  • Support design-led ranges across baths, brassware, shower enclosures, toilets and tiles sourced from Europe and China.
  • Use AI and data tools for market research, concept exploration, content support and demand forecasting.
  • Maintain product data and keep launch actions on track across PIM, BathKAD, BathQuote, website, showrooms, marketing, warehouse, quality, packaging and spare parts.

02

PRICING, PROMOTIONS & MARGIN

  • Maintain competitor price intelligence and help build a clear Good / Better / Best pricing structure by category.
  • Coordinate the promotional roadmap and trading updates across showrooms, E-Commerce and trade channels.
  • Track supplier quotations, product costs and margins, highlighting opportunities to strengthen customer value and profitability.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This hands-on role sits at the centre of product, commercial and stock decisions. You will help bring new own-brand ranges to market, keep pricing insight current and improve inventory planning. Your work will help make an already strong design experience equally reliable from launch through to delivery, with practical AI and digital tools as part of how you work.

Desirable Experience

Around 2+ years in merchandising, buying, procurement, product development, supply chain or retail operations.

Comfortable learning ERP and product information systems, and keen to use AI tools to work smarter.

Helpful experience: own-brand/private label, interiors or home improvement, E-Commerce, or Europe/China sourcing.

Commercially curious, organised and confident working with data, spreadsheets and detailed product information.

A clear communicator who enjoys collaborating with suppliers and colleagues across sales, digital, marketing, warehouse and quality.

PROGRESSION

A strong platform to progress into a Merchandiser, Category Manager or product-focused commercial role as the business scales.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS & WHAT THE FIRST 12 MONTHS CAN DELIVER

Measures we will track: on-time launch readiness | accurate product data | stock availability | DOH and re-order accuracy | margin improvement | supplier delivery and defect trends.

First 12-month deliverables:

A reliable launch tracker; priority DMG product pipelines moving forward; current price and promotion reporting; improved stock visibility and re-order discipline; supplier scorecards and regular exception reporting embedded.

A chance to learn, contribute and grow in a design-led retailer using technology to make bathroom projects easier.

We are hiring: Merchandising & Procurement Coordinator

Brentford / Hybrid | £30k-£40k | BathroomsByDesign

Want a role that sits right at the intersection of product, sourcing, AI, pricing and inventory - without being stuck in a purely admin box?

BathroomsByDesign is growing its Design Manufacturing Group in-house bathroom brands, from brassware and bathtubs to shower enclosures, toilets and tiles. You do not need to be a senior buyer. You do need to be organised, commercially curious, confident with data and excited by AI-enabled ways of working.

If you want to learn how private-label product development, digital commerce and merchandising really work, this is a brilliant next step.
