About The Role
Are you looking for a procurement role where your work has a visible impact on residents, communities and value for money?

At Southern Housing, we’re looking for a Procurement Manager to help shape and deliver our annual procurement pipeline. This is a great opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who enjoys managing end to end procurement projects, working closely with stakeholders and influencing commercial decisions. You'll play a key role in delivering compliant, value for money procurement solutions while helping us achieve our social value, sustainability and resident engagement objectives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Manage end to end procurement projects across a wide range of goods, services and works contracts.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop procurement approaches that deliver value for money, manage risk and support organisational objectives.
  • Manage competitive tender processes, including market engagement, tender documentation, supplier communications, evaluations, negotiations and contract award.
  • Provide procurement advice and guidance to colleagues on procurement legislation, governance requirements and best practice.
  • Support contract mobilisation and help establish effective contract management arrangements.
  • Embed social value, sustainability and responsible procurement principles into procurement activity.
  • Promote opportunities for SMEs, local suppliers and diverse businesses through market engagement activities.

This role can be based in any of our main offices and will require attendance at our Farringdon office (London) for team meetings. This is a hybrid working role with the option to work from home 3 days per week. Home working days will be agreed with your line manager.

You’ll bring proven experience in:

  • Experience managing end to end procurement projects within a public sector, regulated or similarly governed environment.
  • Experience managing competitive tender exercises and supplier evaluations.
  • Understanding of contract terms and conditions, commercial risk and contract management
  • Experience using eProcurement and purchase to pay systems and strong IT skills including MS Office,
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering projects to agreed timescales.
  • Understanding of the Procurement Act 2023, Public contract Regulations 2015
  • CIPS Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent experience) - desirable
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and interpret financial data to support value-for-money outcomes
