Ever walked down a supermarket aisle and wondered who designed the packaging in your basket? At Leeways Packaging Services Ltd, that "who" could be you.

We are a leading UK manufacturer of bespoke thermoformed packaging, and we’re looking for a fresh, creative minds to help us redefine how the UK’s food industry packages its products. This isn't just a "studio" role, this is a front-line design position where your ideas don't just stay on a screen, they will hit the shelves.

You won't be stuck in a corner doing minor tweaks. You will be:

  • Designing for the Giants: You’ll create innovative packaging solutions for all the major UK supermarkets and the country’s biggest food producers.
  • Fast-Tracked Success: Our development cycle is agile. You’ll see your designs transition from a CAD model to a manufactured product on a shelf within months.
  • From Screen to Reality: Work directly with our in-house tooling and prototyping team. You won’t just "send off" a file, you’ll collaborate with the makers to watch your designs come to life in physical form.

The Role

As our Graduate Designer, you’ll be mentored while taking ownership of your own projects. You’ll spend your days:

  • Bringing concepts to life using 3D CAD.
  • Creating "wow-factor" photorealistic renderings in Keyshot to win over clients.
  • Applying Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to ensure your visions are production-ready.
  • Collaborating with our Business Development Team and clients to solve real-world packaging challenges.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Design Degree: You’ve recently graduated (or are about to) in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong experience in 3D CAD (Inventor preferred). Keyshot and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A Problem-Solving Mindset: You enjoy the "puzzle" of design—balancing aesthetics with technical specs and technical data.
  • Communication Skills: You can explain and justify your design decisions with confidence.
  • Future-Focused: You have a good understanding of how AI can and will play a part in your design process, using it to help set your designs apart from the rest.
