Full job description

Neo Fintech Lab has spent over 6 years building and maintaining a
bespoke and ever-evolving payment, FX and treasury platform. The
quality of our product is critical to our success and the QA team are an
integral part of our software development lifecycle. We now have a
position open for a QA Automation Engineer to join the team and be part
of our success.

-Full time (flexible hours)
-Remote (occasional team meetups in London/Cambridge/Barcelona)
-Salary £35,000 - £45,000 PA based on experience/skills
-UK-based

The role
We are looking for an experienced web application tester to join our QA
team, helping to test our platform and services and improve our
automated test suite.

The ideal candidate will be driven to improve the quality of our platform
and processes. They will be confident integrating with the existing
international teams and working with the Scrum methodology. They will
also be self-motivated to learn, filling any gaps in their knowledge and
staying up to date with the latest developments in the world of testing.

We require someone with a confident understanding of core testing
techniques. Demonstratable experience with API based testing as well as
proficiency in some form of test automation is required; experience in
test automation using Cypress and JavaScript or Typescript is highly
advantageous.

The test scope will include the web application and REST APIs, as well as
end-to-end business logic and functional flows.
Knowledge of FX products, payment systems, Azure, and Agile/Scrum are
all advantageous. In addition to an exciting project and dynamic working
environment, the role offers long-term development prospects as the
team grows.

The role is fully remote, apart from occasional social meetups in London,
Cambridge or Barcelona a couple of times per year.

Responsibilities
-Review business requirements
-Write test cases for new work with a focus on quality and efficiency
-Estimate test effort for planned work
-Execute, automate and manage test cases

Required skills/knowledge
-Test automation (Cypress & JavaScript)
-Proven ability to translate functional requirements into clear test
cases
-Strong knowledge of API testing concepts, tools and frameworks,
such as Postman, SoapUI and JMeter
-Ability to create a clear and accurate bug report
-Collaborative with great teamwork skills

Desirable skills/knowledge
-Working knowledge of BDD
-Agile/Scrum methodology
-Experience with performance and load testing of APIs
-Azure platform
-FX products
-Inter-bank payment systems
-Knowledge of SQL
