Full job description

RWR Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Assembly Operative for a well-established manufacturing business based in Newport. This is a hands-on production role involving manual assembly, including hand soldering, working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a clean and supportive environment.

Salary: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products following SOPs
  • Cut materials to size, seal, solder components, laminate, and apply barcodes
  • Conduct quality checks and product testing
  • Record data accurately using internal systems
  • Assist with process improvements and new production line setups
  • Troubleshoot basic production line issues
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a production or assembly role
  • Proven hand soldering skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow SOPs accurately
  • Good manual dexterity and numeracy
  • Team player with strong communication skills
