We are a growing, multi-award-winning property inventory company looking for an experienced, reliable and professional Property Inventory Clerk to join our team.

This is a field-based role suited to an experienced inventory clerk who enjoys working independently, being on the road and travelling to different locations throughout the working day.

You will carry out professional check-in inventories, check-out inspections and mid-term inspections at residential properties across London, Essex and surrounding areas.

We offer regular property inspection work and are looking for someone who can provide consistently accurate, detailed and professional reports.

Travel & Flexibility

Travel is an essential part of this role.

You must be willing and able to travel across London, Essex and surrounding areas for a full day's work. Depending on bookings, you may be required to travel several hours from home and attend multiple properties in different locations during the same day.

We therefore need someone who is flexible, organised and comfortable planning their day around appointments in different areas.

About Us

We work with landlords, letting agents and property professionals across London and Essex, providing detailed and accurate property inspection services, including:

  • Check-in inventories
  • Check-out inspections
  • Mid-term inspections
  • Property condition reports
  • Meter readings
  • Comprehensive photographic records

Key Responsibilities

As a Property Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out thorough inspections of residential properties
  • Producing detailed check-in, check-out and mid-term reports
  • Accurately documenting the condition and cleanliness of properties, fixtures, fittings and contents
  • Taking clear, high-quality and well-organised photographs
  • Recording utility meter readings where required
  • Collecting and returning property keys when required
  • Completing and uploading reports using InventoryBase
  • Ensuring all reports are accurate and submitted within required deadlines
  • Communicating professionally with landlords, letting agents, tenants and our office team
  • Managing your diary, appointments and travel efficiently
  • Travelling between multiple appointments and locations throughout the working day

Essential Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Property Inventory Clerk
  • Minimum 150 completed property inventories/inspections
  • Proven experience producing check-in, check-out and mid-term reports
  • Previous experience using InventoryBase is essential
  • Ability to provide sample check-in, check-out and mid-term reports
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • High level of reliability and punctuality
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Confidence using smartphones, apps and camera functions
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Ability to work accurately to strict deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for appointments
  • Availability Monday–Saturday

Having your own vehicle is advantageous but not essential, provided you can travel reliably and efficiently by public transport when required.

  • Be capable of managing multiple appointments in one day

  • Be comfortable accepting occasional last-minute bookings
  • Understand the importance of providing excellent customer service

Please only apply if you have at least 2 years' property inventory experience and have completed a minimum of 150 inventories/inspections.
