Working Monday–Friday, 39 hours per week.

The Opportunity

Are you studying a numerate degree such as Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics and looking for an internship where you can apply your knowledge in a professional business environment?

At Rittal‑CSM, we offer interns the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a supportive finance team, working on real data, reports and projects that contribute to day‑to‑day business decision‑making.

As a Finance Intern, you will support the finance team with a variety of activities, gaining exposure to core finance processes while developing strong analytical and commercial skills.

You will:

  • Work with financial data to support reporting and analysis
  • Assist with management accounting activities
  • Support budgeting and costing processes
  • Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the finance function

This role is ideal for a student seeking practical experience alongside academic study or as part of a placement year.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, curious, and comfortable working with numbers.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. To succeed, you’ll bring:

  • Studying towards a degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics)
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Competent Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Excel VBA is desirable
  • A team player who works well with others
  • Curious and interested in understanding the “why” behind the numbers
  • Logical, analytical and detail‑focused
  • Able to use initiative and manage priorities
  • Comfortable working to deadlines while maintaining accuracy

No previous commercial experience is required; training and support will be provided.
