About us

We are a small to medium-size general contractor established over 25 years ago and steadily growing; Our projects vary from refurbishing small flats to basement excavations, and full house refurbishments.

We are working mainly in South West London and our office is based in Kingston upon Thames.

What we are after

We are looking for an assistant grade quantity surveyor / project manager to join the existing team and help with the procurement and project management, as well as pricing, occasionally.

Ideal candidate to have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position.

We are looking for someone that wants to grow at the same pace with the company and become an experienced / senior project manager.

We have a very good staff retention rate and we would look for the candidate that is eager to commit for the longer term and grow with us.

We need the ideal candidate to assist with:

  • Liaison with the clients or clients’ consultants (i.e. engineers, architects, etc.) regarding administrative / commercial aspects
  • Liaison with site managers regarding contract works – issuing specifications / taking order requests / providing clarifications / providing additional information
  • Liaison with managing QS regarding regular monitoring of projects performance
  • Liaison with subcontractors and monitoring cost changes
  • Liaison with suppliers and placing orders; establishing and maintaining good relationships
  • Producing estimates / pricing for tenders
  • Quantity take off’s – training will be provided for using Planswift UK
  • Other project-related activities, including processing of documentation, printing, etc.

Minimum requirements:

  • 1 year experience in a similar position and organization
  • Effective communication skills
  • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Word proficient
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to develop professionally and improve performance within the company

More about the role

Full time, permanent position.

This is an office-based role in KT1 3LG, with occasional site visits to our SW London projects.

Working hours: 8AM to 5PM – Monday-Friday.

Benefits

Remuneration will depend on experience and skills and on each candidate. Starting from £ 30, 000 yearly gross salary.

Bonuses are subject to individual and company performance.

20 days holiday. Additional holiday can be agreed during the contract.
