Stress Analysis Engineer
Location: Nottingham & hybrid • Salary: Competitive + Bonus

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Stress Analysis Engineer to support pipeline and energy infrastructure projects across the UK’s growing net‑zero sector. The role focuses on pipework stress analysis, with additional work in FEA, fatigue, fracture mechanics and CFD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pipework stress analysis using CAESAR II.
  • Conduct FEA, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and vibration assessments.
  • Run CFD simulations for gas flow, dispersion, and ventilation.
  • Support hydrogen and CO₂ pipeline assessments to ASME B31.12.
  • Produce clear technical reports and mentor junior engineers.
About You
  • Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong experience in pipework stress analysis (UK gas industry ideal).
  • Skilled with CAESAR II and recognised FEA tools.
  • Knowledge of IGEM, ASME, BS, PSR, PSSR, CDM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Chartered or working toward chartership (preferred).
