Who are Codi Group?

Codi is a not-for-profit with a big heart and an even bigger mission. As Wales’ largest provider of housing, care, and support, we’re here to help people live well, feel supported, and rise to their full potential.

Every day, our teams support nearly 17,000 individuals across Wales with services that make a real and uplifting difference to their everyday lives.

Our name says it all: ‘Codi’ means rise in Welsh. It reflects who we are, where we come from, and our ambition to lift expectations, lift communities, and lift each other.

About the role

You will have the opportunity as a Scheme Support Officer to engage and interact with the people we support, deliver workshops relating to tenancy management and health & wellbeing, arrange and carry out activities with the people we support to support them with their goals, and advise and support in a sensitive and practical manner and dealing with a crisis effectively and efficiently.

As a Complex Needs Project Worker your role will be to support the Manager with facilitating goal plans and will work extensively with clients to advise on re-housing options. You will make referrals to other agencies in relation to temporary and permanent accommodation in conjunction with our resettlement team.

You will liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing Department, Resettlement Worker, Health and Safety and other relevant agencies, on matters affecting prospective and current clients of the service. Part of your role will be to promote mental health recovery and seek treatment and recovery for substance misuse where applicable.

For relief staff, managers will offer shifts with as much notice as possible, but you might be contacted on an ad-hoc basis when shift cover is needed. As such, the hours may not be guaranteed.

Services in the area

We have our Supported accommodation service, Furnace Banc, in Carmarthen. Working in a team, you will provide support to a range of individuals who are experiencing homelessness and have been involved in the criminal justice system and offending behaviour. This service uses Scheme Support Officers and waking nights shifts.

We then have a Young Persons Supported Accommodation scheme, Llys Cyfle, in the Ammanford area of Carmarthenshire. This service utilises Complex Needs Project Workers and sleep in shifts.

There is an additional Young Persons Supported Accommodation scheme, King George, in Llanelli, which also utilises Complex Needs Project Workers and sleep-in shifts.

We have additional services in other areas of Wales which are available to relief – staff can pick up shifts as far out as they wish and have access to as many areas as they would like. Shifts in other areas could be any day/time.

Skills and Experience Needed
