About Us

Caritas Diocese of Salford is the principal social action agency of the Catholic Diocese. Our mission is to put Love Into Action. We help those across Greater Manchester and Lancashire experiencing poverty, disadvantage, and discrimination to transform their lives with dignity. We provide a practical response to those in crisis, suffering hardship or who are at risk. We rebuild lives for the long-term, enabling people to live in a safe, healthy, and secure environment. We call for a better, more just world, where the voices of the poor are heard and acted upon and positively influence the systems, decisions and resources that affect those in need.

About the Job

Caritas House offers a pathway out of homelessness for single men with low support needs, it provides high-quality, single-room accommodation with 24-hour staffing for 19 men. We are looking to recruit a Project Worker to provide a safe environment where residents can feel safe and valued.

As a Project Worker you will work as part of a team to provide a safe and high standard of supported accommodation. You will ensure residents are supported to improve their health, well-being and develop independent living skills, before being supported to move into independent private rented tenancies. You will also help support with other services including education and training to help our residents move on into employment.

You will have great customer service skills, a strengths-based approach and be motivated and confident enough to help enable people who are homeless to find and be able to maintain long term housing solutions. Experience of working with people that are homeless and may be vulnerable or disadvantaged groups in a residential/similar setting is essential. You will have proficient IT and admin skills and a positive approach to team working.

If this sounds like the next step you are looking for and you would like to work in a service passionate about supporting people to find new homes and rebuild their lives, then we would love to hear from you!

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and we reserve the right to interview/ appoint before the closing date. Early applications are therefore strongly encouraged.
