Full job description

At Teens+, we support young adults with additional support needs to reach their full potential through person-centred education and the development of life and social skills.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our Project Worker team.

Working alongside the Centre Manager, Education Team and Senior Project Workers, you will help deliver a Transitional Education Programme for young people with complex communication needs, learning disabilities and/or autism, as well as associated support needs.

This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in people’s lives by supporting students to develop their strengths and build essential life skills. Each student brings their own unique talents, aspirations and support needs, making every day varied, meaningful and rewarding.

Principal duties:

Service Delivery

  • To deliver a transitional education programme, using a range of methods, to enable students to achieve their education goals and develop their life skills;
  • To work within each student’s individual learning plan;
  • To develop tailor made education sessions and resources;
  • To help students develop as much independence as possible in all the activities undertaken;
  • To support students with personal care with dignity and respect
  • To report on activities undertaken and progress.
  • Operate as a keyworker, including the following:
  • Create a working file and regularly assess/update (approximately every 3 months)
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of lesson plans with their key students;
  • Attend regular review meetings;
  • Monitor and evaluate the support provided to students.
