£27,254 - £28,598 per annum | Full Time | Permanent

We are looking for a Housing Standards Officer to join our Environmental Health and Community Safety team at our offices in Bideford, working 37 hours per week.

As a Housing Standards Officer working at Torridge, you will make a real difference to your community and the lives of some of our most vulnerable residents. You will be responsible for the inspection of private sector properties and enforcement of relevant housing policies to ensure residents enjoy safe and healthy living conditions.

Although not essential, the ideal candidate will hold a Level 4 HNC building qualification or have equivalent knowledge of building construction or private sector housing enforcement. If you feel that you don’t have this level of experience, although are genuinely interested in this role and feel your skills are a good fit, please get in touch as training will be provided to help you develop and to ensure you maintain your competency.

Our office is located on the banks of the Torridge estuary in Bideford, one of the most breath-taking parts of the South West within walking distance of the dramatic North Devon Coastline.
