Full job description

Head of Maintenance — Property Maintenance London (Fully Remote)

HausenCare is a growing London property repairs and maintenance company working with letting agents, property managers, block managers, facilities providers, and housing associations across the capital. We're looking for an experienced Head of Maintenance to own our client relationships and maintenance flow as we scale.

This role is fully remote, and open to part-time, self-employed, or flexible engagement arrangements.

The role

You'll bring buyer-side experience to HausenCare — the knowledge of how agencies and housing providers manage repairs and work with contractors — and use it to run our client relationships and the flow of maintenance work through the business, so every client gets a service that keeps them sending work.

What you'll own

  • Managing our client relationships day to day: letting agents, property management companies, block managers, facilities services, and housing associations
  • Owning the maintenance flow — from ticket received, through scheduling and delivery, to close-out, report, and invoicing
  • Keeping clients active and satisfied: response times, communication, issue resolution, and service standards
  • Ensuring every job meets compliance and documentation standards (including Awaab's Law and Renters' Rights Act obligations)
  • Working closely with our engineers and operations team so delivery matches what clients expect

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience over recent years as a Head of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, Property Manager, or similar — within a letting agency, property management company, block management firm, facilities services provider, or housing association
  • Deep understanding of how repairs and maintenance actually run inside agencies and housing providers — ticket flow, approvals, landlord and tenant expectations, and what makes a contractor easy to work with
  • Experience working directly with maintenance contractors and knowing what separates the ones who keep the work from the ones who lose it
  • Knowledge of the compliance landscape: gas safety, electrical certification, damp and mould obligations, and documentation standards
  • Strong relationship and communication skills across property managers, landlords, and residents
  • London property market experience essential

What we offer

  • Fully remote working
  • Flexible engagement — part-time, self-employed, or full engagement all considered
  • A senior role with real ownership in a growing company
  • The chance to build the client experience your background tells you agencies actually want from a contractor
  • Competitive salary/rate [+ performance incentive — to discuss]

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

Work Location: Remote
