About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and innovative Psychometrician to join our growing UK based team. Whether you're seeking a full time, part time, or contract role, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge career assessment tools with real-world impact.

Key responsibilities

• Apply psychometric science, AI and emerging technologies to develop and evolve innovative assessment and profiling solutions that advance workforce intelligence, career development and human capital innovation
• Translate research and ideas into practical products, platforms and digital experiences, balancing scientific rigour with practical implementation and user experience considerations
• Analyse behavioural and assessment data to generate insights that improve decision making and user outcomes
• Work collaboratively across business development, consulting, operations, platform, marketing and design teams to ensure assessment solutions are commercially relevant, user centred and scientifically robust
• Communicate complex psychometric and statistical concepts clearly to technical and non technical audiences, supporting informed decision making across the business
• Challenge conventional thinking and contribute to the future direction of Intalo Group’s assessment, profiling and workforce solutions

About you

• PhD qualifications in Psychometrics, Psychology, Educational Measurement, Data Science or a related discipline will be highly regarded. We are particularly interested in emerging researchers and high potential professionals seeking to apply cutting edge research to real world workforce challenges
• Strong understanding of classical test theory, item response theory, statistical analysi methods and adaptive assessment
• Proficiency in statistical tools such as R, SPSS, or Python
• Experience applying AI and emerging technologies within assessment and profiling, combined with a passion for exploring how innovation can transform human capital management, workforce outcomes and career development
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Outstanding analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills, with the adaptability to thrive in a fast paced environment where priorities evolve and ambiguity exists
• An interest in user experience and customer outcomes, ensuring assessments/tools are not only scientifically strong, but also engaging and easy to understand for end users
• Ability to balance psychometric excellence with practical product development, scalability and implementation
• Curious, commercially minded and excited by innovation, with a growth mindset and a willingness to continuously learn, experiment and apply new technologies
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across cross functional teams, stakeholder groups and multiple locations and time zones
• Motivated to challenge traditional approaches and help shape the future of workforce and career development
• Experience designing, researching or implementing adaptive testing methodologies would be highly regarded
