Job Title: Pub Supervisor

Location: The Weavers Arms, Norwich
Hours: Full-time (flexible shifts, evenings & weekends required)
Reports to: Pub Manager

About The Weavers Arms

The Weavers Arms is a welcoming, community-focused pub in Norwich known for great food, well-kept beer, and friendly service. We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed atmosphere where guests feel at home and enjoy consistently high standards.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Supervisor to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with hospitality experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, supporting the management team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily running of the pub, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Lead and support front-of-house staff during busy periods.
  • Open and close the venue, including cash handling and end-of-day procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Support stock control, including cellar management, deliveries, and stock rotation.
  • Handle customer queries, feedback, or complaints professionally and proactively.
  • Help train and mentor new team members, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Ensure consistent service standards and smooth coordination between the bar, kitchen, and management.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous pub, bar, or hospitality experience essential; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Confident in cash handling and basic administrative duties.
  • A personal licence is beneficial but not essential (training can be provided).
