General Manager – The Lord Kitchener, Curbridge, Witney

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum DOE, plus tips and tronc

Job type: Full-time

Location: Curbridge, Witney, Oxfordshire

About us

The Lord Kitchener is a family-oriented country pub in Curbridge, near Witney, serving quality, fresh food in a warm, rustic setting. We’re now looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the team and take the pub forward.

About the role

You’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the pub, including:

  • Managing the bar and restaurant
  • Operating the EPOS system, including cash handling and reconciliation
  • Cellar management, including line cleaning and quality control
  • Building and managing staff rotas
  • Ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
  • Recruiting, training and developing the team
  • Health and safety compliance across the site

About you

  • Proven experience managing a busy bar and restaurant
  • Confident using EPOS systems and managing a cellar
  • Strong background in staff training and rota management
  • Solid understanding of ordering, stock control and health and safety
  • Able to start straight away and hit the ground running
