Seasonal Waiting Staff

20-22 hours per week

We have the following waiting staff opportunity:

4 evenings per week from 4.30pm until 9pm/9.30pm

Minimum contract 4 Weeks

Maximum contract 16 Weeks

Immediate Start

Must be available weekends

We are seeking Experienced Waiting Staff to join our team, however training can be given to those who are new to hospitality.

We can also offer training packages including wine training, barista, supervisory courses, first aid, fire marshal, personal license, cellar training, food safety level 2 and 3.

Busy pub restaurant seeking experienced, confident, friendly waiting staff to join our team.

  • Build up a rapport with our regulars

  • Previous experience in hospitality in a similar venue
  • Good knowledge of food and beverage service is essential

Job Summary: We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic people to join our fantastic team for the summer or for a permanent position. As a key member of the Bowgie team, our waiting staff must ensure all dining areas operate smoothly. This team member must be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment remaining friendly with customers and team members, as well as effectively making use of quiet periods with their team. The waiting staff must ensure plates are taken in and out in a timely manner, paying close attention to customer service, comfort and enjoyment of guests and job satisfaction for themselves and other members of the team.

Main Purpose of Job:

· To ensure all customers are given a friendly welcome

· Take all food, cutlery and condiments to customers and clear tables (plates & glasses) in a timely manner

· Ensure every customer has the best possible experience

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Keep working environment clean eg. cutlery, indoor and outdoor seating area

· Ensure team cohesion at all times, by good communication skills

· Check customer condiments are well stocked and rotated at the start of every shift

· During shift changes provide a sufficient handover

· Provide good knowledge of food and beverage services on offer to customers and new members of staff

· Ensure all dining areas are clean and comfortable for customers (including the floor)

· Provide table check backs to all dining guests

· Work alongside catering team to carry out customer requests and dietary requirements

· Deal with customer complaints following company guidelines confidently and quickly

· Resolve any issues and report to appropriate members of the team

· Ensure dessert fridge & freezer is well stocked and clean

· Prepare desserts to order

· Comply with all food and beverage legislation and regulations

· Work in accordance with the Food Safety and Hygiene Act 2013

· Work in accordance with the COSHH Act 2002
