Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Pub Assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and service, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer care in a lively environment. Previous restaurant experience and strong organisational skills are highly valued.

This role is a role for the entire business to work in all departments of a small independently ran country pub with responsibilities on the bar, floor, kitchen & hotel dependant on the company needs

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver drinks promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is sanitised and stocked appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Manage cash transactions efficiently, including handling payments and giving correct change.
  • Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment, intervening when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods.
  • Keep track of stock levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
  • Learn & work within all areas of the business ( kitchen, floor, bar, hotel)

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.
  • Ability to learn & adapt
  • Experience within all areas of hospitality
  • Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently.
  • Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately.
