Kitchen Porter – The Glengower, Aberystwyth, SY23 2DH

Employment: Part Time – will include evenings & weekends

Salary: National Minimum Wage plus generous tips (on average an additional £1.55 per hour), and company benefits

The Glengower is a lively and popular pub with 20 rooms situated on the stunning seafront in Aberystwyth. It is part of the Stange & Co pub group. Stange & Co are an expanding family company that puts its teams first. We realise it’s our teams and their hard work that make our pubs as successful as they are. We recognise and encourage enthusiasm and passion within our teams and are now looking for a full time, reliable kitchen porter to join and further strengthen the kitchen team.

What we’re looking for:

A hardworking, punctual and reliable person, who is happy to muck in and help the team where needed. This is a full time position and will cover a variety of day and evening shifts.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Washing of crockery & utensils
  • Keeping kitchen areas and equipment clean and sanitized
  • Supporting the kitchen team

Previous experience in a similar position is very much preferred, but as long as you’ve got the right attitude and are willing to work hard, we’ll happily show you the ropes and give you all the training you’ll need to do the job.
