About Us:
We are an independent, family-run pub managed by a dedicated husband-and-wife team. Our focus is on building a warm, friendly, and community-focused environment with great drinks and comforting, classic food. Because we operate as a small team, every member of our staff is a vital part of our pub family. We offer a supportive, respectful workplace free from corporate red tape, where your hard work is genuinely valued and appreciated.

The Role:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to take charge of our day-to-day kitchen operations. Massive amounts of high-end experience or formal qualifications are not required. What matters most to us is that you know how to cook great, comforting pub dishes, take pride in your plates, and want to be a dependable part of a close-knit team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and cook classic pub dishes (e.g., fish & chips, pies, burgers) to a high and consistent standard.
  • Keep the kitchen exceptionally clean, organized, and hygienic throughout your shift.
  • Manage kitchen stock, check incoming deliveries, and minimize waste.
  • Maintain strict food safety and health guidelines (safer food, better business).

Work closely with us to keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confident, practical cooking skills—you must know your way around a kitchen and feel comfortable cooking standard pub classics.
  • A reliable, hardworking, and punctual approach to your work.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2) is a bonus, but training can be supported for the right person.

Flexibility to work pub shifts, including evenings and weekends.

What We Offer:

  • A fair share of tips.
  • A relaxed, supportive, and family-like working atmosphere.

Creative input on daily specials and menu ideas.

To Apply:
If you love cooking good food and want a stable role within a friendly, local team, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV or a quick message detailing your cooking experience!
