We're looking for a Chef De Partie to Join us at The Grace.

The Grace is an Locally Owned Independent Freehouse on the Gloucester Road that thrives on serving high quality food and drinks with a huge focus on exemplary customer service.

Don't think that Pubs can't serve interesting high quality food though - we cook small plates from fresh, with inspiration from around the world on our frequently changing menu. Think Fried Duck Wings with a sweet sticky Korean soy sauce, Pan Fried Cod in a Keralan Curry, or Grilled Courgette with Tahini Labneh. Just things that delicious, great shared; and go well with a beer!

We focus on using the very best ingredients as locally sourced as possible and innovative cooking techniques. The menu changes regularly and the whole kitchen team has input into new dishes and menu style. We cook a banging Sunday Lunch every weekend too, if we do say so ourselves.

For that reason, we are on the hunt for someone who is as passionate about food as we are.

We are looking for;

• Fresh food kitchen experience, working with a range of food styles and having good knowledge of ingredients is essential.
• Attention to detail is a key skill we are looking for, whether used in making sure all food prep is done to the best of your ability, each dish is presented beautifully when it goes to a customer or keeping a section and the kitchen clean and tidy.
• Enthusiasm and an ambitious attitude is key with a desire to exceed expectations and work to high standards at all times.
• Good knowledge of modern food and ingredients and an interest to learn more is very important to us.
• Having the ability to work under pressure in a busy service and problem solve where needed.
• Proven experience working with a team on shift and building positive, supportive and professional relationships with team members.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety processes in the kitchen is essential. Food Safety Level 2 would be highly desirable.

Our new CDP role is available immediately, working an average of 25hrs / week over no more than 3 days. There is the potential for the role to become full time later in the year.

Our team is great, headed up by a super experienced senior team and with a great bunch of team members who all enjoy coming to work with us.

We do our best to look after our staff and know it is important to have a good life work balance, for that reason, we don't want anybody working more than 4 days a week.

(Tips are pretty good too, adding £2 - £4ph on to your wages. NB: The rate above is including Gratuities)
