Duty Manager – West Park Hotel & Coach & Horses, Harrogate

Two great Harrogate venues. Multiple bars. One exciting opportunity.We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Duty Manager to work across West Park Hotel and Coach & Horses in Harrogate, helping lead our teams and deliver fantastic standards across all our bars and food & beverage operations.This is a hands-on management role for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys leading busy services and has a genuine passion for great drinks, great food and brilliant guest experiences.Working across two of our Harrogate venues will give you experience of both a premium hotel, restaurant and bar environment at West Park, alongside the busy, vibrant pub atmosphere of Coach & Horses.

Your Role

Working across both venues and all bar areas, you'll be responsible for helping us deliver excellent hospitality while supporting the commercial performance of the businesses.You'll:

• Lead busy shifts from the front.
• Take responsibility for bar operations across both venues.
• Deliver consistently high standards of hospitality and guest service.
• Drive drinks sales, upselling and average guest spend.
• Maintain excellent standards across cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and premium drinks.
• Ensure all bars are fully stocked, organised and ready for service.
• Coach the team on product knowledge, service standards and selling.
• Manage stock, wastage and bar controls.
• Support ordering and stocktaking.
• Manage labour effectively in line with sales and business levels.
• Support recruitment, induction and development of team members.
• Identify opportunities to drive events, bookings and additional sales.
• Support local marketing and social media activity.
• Maintain excellent food safety, health & safety and operational standards.
• Support the General Managers in delivering sales, profit and guest experience targets.

Who We're Looking ForYou'll ideally have previous supervisory or management experience within a premium pub, hotel, restaurant or bar environment.We're looking for someone who is:

• A natural host with a passion for hospitality.
• Confident leading and motivating a team.
• Comfortable running busy bar and food & beverage services.
• Passionate about drinks and delivering excellent bar standards.
• Commercially aware, with an understanding of sales, labour, stock, margins and wastage.
• Hands-on and prepared to lead from the front.
• Organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Full of ideas for improving the guest experience and growing sales.
• Flexible and confident working across two busy Harrogate venues.
• Ambitious and keen to develop into a future senior leader within Provenance.
