Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate person to join our small kitchen team. The ideal candidate will ideally have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy kitchen environments. Consideration will also be given to committed applicants with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow with the business and develop a reputation for both self pub. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent food safety practices and a keen eye for detail, all while maintaining a professional and organised approach in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
  • Serve dishes to guests when required, providing excellent customer service
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to minimise risks within the kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
  • Previous experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable
  • Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a diverse range of dishes
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings if required
  • A genuine passion for food and delivering exceptional dining experiences
