Front of House Staff – The Cornish Arms Group

Tavistock | Lamerton | North Bovey

The Cornish Arms Group is looking for friendly and reliable Front of House Staff to join our team and deliver great service across our pubs.

At the heart of the group is The Cornish Arms, Tavistock – an award-winning gastropub known for its quality food and busy, vibrant atmosphere. Alongside it sits The Blacksmiths Arms, Lamerton, a thriving village pub with a strong local following.

We are also preparing to launch our third site, The Ring of Bells, North Bovey, making this an exciting time to join a growing and ambitious hospitality group.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in good service, and is passionate about hospitality.

The Role ~

As Front of House Staff, you’ll be responsible for delivering warm, efficient service across the floor—ensuring every guest has a great experience from arrival through to departure.

Key Responsibilities ~

  • Deliver friendly, attentive and professional table service
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
  • Serve food and beverages to a high standard
  • Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming environment
  • Handle payments accurately and responsibly
  • Develop strong product knowledge across food and drink menus
  • Support bar and team members during busy service periods
  • Follow all health & safety, hygiene, and service standards
  • Assist with setup, service preparation and closing duties

What We’re Looking For ~

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Passion for hospitality and guest experience
  • Confidence working in a busy environment
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Previous front of house experience is helpful but not essential
