Full job description

.Pub Leader – The Stamford Arms, Groby

Part of The Beautiful Pubs Collective

A new chapter begins

This September, The Stamford Arms in Groby will join The Beautiful Pubs Collective and we could not be more excited to become part of this much-loved village pub’s story.

The Stamford already has the things that matter most: a brilliant location, a loyal community and years of memories made within its walls. Our role is to respect those foundations while bringing fresh energy, great food, brilliant drinks and the warm, genuine hospitality that defines our pubs.

We are looking for an exceptional hospitality leader to help bring this next chapter to life.

The opportunity

As Pub Leader, you will play a senior, hands-on role at the heart of The Stamford Arms. This is a chance to join a pub at a genuinely exciting moment: helping shape its culture, develop its team and establish it as one of the area’s most loved places to eat, drink and spend time.

We are looking for an energetic, people-focused leader who understands that the very best pubs are not created from behind a desk. They are created on the floor: knowing your guests, building a brilliant team, creating atmosphere, caring about the details and making people want to return before they have even left.

Working closely with our wider leadership team, you will help us build on everything that already makes The Stamford Arms special while introducing the next evolution of its food, drink and hospitality offer.

The role

You will take a leading role in the operation, culture and performance of The Stamford Arms, including:

  • Leading from the floor and delivering brilliant, personality-led hospitality.
  • Building, developing and inspiring an engaged, high-performing team.
  • Creating a positive culture where people feel supported, challenged and proud.
  • Working closely with the kitchen leadership team to bring our food offer to life.
  • Building relationships with existing regulars while introducing the pub to new guests.
  • Driving exceptional standards across food, drink, service and presentation.
  • Taking ownership of rotas, labour, stock, compliance and commercial performance.
  • Developing managers and future leaders within the team.
  • Creating energy around events, occasions and reasons to visit throughout the week.
  • Working closely with The Beautiful Pubs Collective leadership team as the business develops.

About you

You genuinely love hospitality and understand what makes a brilliant pub feel special.

You will likely be:

  • An experienced leader from a pub, restaurant or fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Naturally warm, outgoing and engaging.
  • At your best when you are present on the floor with guests and your team.
  • Confident building, motivating and developing people.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing labour, stock and performance.
  • Organised, proactive and full of ideas.
  • Detail-focused, with high standards and a real eye for guest experience.
  • Positive through change, with the ability to bring people with you.
  • Excited by the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

At The Beautiful Pubs Collective, we believe great pubs are about people: the team behind the bar, the chefs in the kitchen, the regular who has visited for years, the family enjoying Sunday lunch and the friends celebrating something special.

Creating somewhere those people genuinely love spending their time is what great hospitality is all about.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary with performance incentives
  • Equal share of tips, TipJar & Tronc
  • Accredited professional development and leadership opportunities
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • 24/7 wellbeing platform
  • Team discounts and incentives across the group
  • Team socials and annual awards events
  • The opportunity to join an independent, people-focused hospitality group with real ambition
  • The chance to play a significant part in the next chapter of The Stamford Arms

Come and be part of what’s next

Taking on an established village pub is something we take seriously. We want to honour what has made The Stamford Arms so important to Groby, while bringing our own energy, care and passion to its future.

If you are an experienced hospitality leader who loves pubs, loves people and is excited by the opportunity to build something special, we would love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of The Stamford Arms’ next chapter.
