Job description

The Hotel Folk are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Bartender to provide an excellent experience to our guests at The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa. You will be aprt of the Food and Beverage team so some shifts will be allocated also in the restaurant.

Key tasks include:

  • Interact with customers, take orders, and serve drinks.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Be an expert on all things age and alcohol policy, process, and specs related, making sure the bar is always guest ready.
  • Show off menu knowledge by making recommendations and upselling additional products where appropriate.

Knowledge required

  • Previous experience as a Bartender in the food industry or hospitality sector is required.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends as required.

During the 15th century Lavenham was the 14th richest town in the country, thanks to a thriving wool trade. Today, tourism is one of Lavenham’s main industries which has helped create the magic that surrounds this hotel, a must-see destination and a must stay hotel for UK and International visitors. The town boasts more than 300 timber-framed buildings and can happily claim to be one of the best preserved medieval villages in the UK with The Swan sitting right at its heart.
