About us

Schooner Taverns Ltd is an established business in the North Devon village of Mortehoe near Woolacombe, EX34 7DT. We are professional, rewarding and supportive.

We are currently looking for a Chef of all levels to work in our pub/restaurant in the village of Mortehoe near Woolacombe. The pay rate is £14.50 - £16 per hour depending on experience.

The successful candidate will work in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Proven kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong food preparation and cooking skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Background in hospitality and restaurant service
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented setting
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Be respectful to other members of staff at all times.

Duties include:

  • Cooking food for customers.
  • Keeping ingredients fresh and organized.
  • Receiving deliveries
  • Following food safety regulations.

A free cooked meal is provided during your shift along with unlimited free soft drinks, tea and coffee.

Please note this position is seasonal and expected to finish at the end of October this year.
