SIA Door Supervisor – Pubs, Bars & Nightlife – Tewkesbury (GL20)

£14.24 per hour | Part-Time | Evening & Weekend Shifts

About KBG Security

KBG Security is a professional security provider delivering high-quality security services across licensed venues, events, and commercial premises. We are currently recruiting reliable and professional SIA-licensed Door Supervisors to join our growing team in Tamworth.

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at pubs, bars, and licensed nightlife venues. The role involves access control, customer interaction, conflict management, and ensuring compliance with venue policies and licensing requirements.

This role is ideal for individuals who are professional, confident, and able to work effectively in busy nightlife environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Access Control & Screening
  • Manage entry and exit points professionally.
  • Verify identification and age requirements in line with licensing laws.
  • Conduct searches where required by venue procedures.
  • Maintain consistent and professional screening standards.

Safety & Security

  • Monitor customer behaviour and identify potential risks.
  • Prevent unauthorised access and respond appropriately to incidents.
  • Support venue management in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Complete incident reports accurately and professionally.

Conflict Management

  • De-escalate confrontations calmly and professionally.
  • Manage disruptive behaviour in accordance with venue procedures.
  • Liaise with venue management and emergency services where necessary.

Customer Service

  • Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact.
  • Assist customers and venue staff where required.
  • Represent both KBG Security and the venue professionally at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Availability for evening and weekend work.
  • Previous experience in pubs, bars, clubs, or licensed venues preferred but not essential.

Appearance & Dress Code

  • Smart black trousers and black shoes required.
  • White shirt required.
  • Company tie provided.
  • Company-branded jackets available for purchase if required.
  • Professional appearance must be maintained at all times.

Working Hours

  • Friday and Saturday night shifts.
  • Standard hours are 20:00–01:00.
  • Shifts may start earlier from 19:00 and may occasionally finish later, up to 02:00, depending on venue requirements.
