Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an experienced Public Health Consultant to take up an interim contract for a Local Authority based in the Midlands.

As the Consultant in Public Health (Comms and Engagement) you will help lead the council’s response to the pandemic ensuring we are communicating with our diverse communities. You will manage Birmingham’s Covid related news. Proactively working within the Test and Trace team and collaboratively with and the wider teams in Public Health to engage our citizens.

You’ll ensure that we work in collaboration with Public Health England to protect local communities from threats to their health through Covid. Building that trust between residents and the Council, driving service take-up and engagement with Public Health Covid related campaigns and important news / updates including managing the well-established Covid Champions network and the social media accounts.

Contract Details

Pay Scale – Paying from £600 per day – Negotiable depending on experience.

Location – Remote Working for the duration of the assignment.

Contract Length – 6–12-month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.

Experience required.

· Inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List or UK Public Health Register (UKPHR).

· Experience of leading significant programmes transformational change

· Extensive experience in a public health domain.
