Innovate Healthcare is a growing Occupational Health provider delivering services across the private and public sectors. Since 2011, we’ve supported organisations to navigate the evolving health and wellbeing needs of today’s workforce through occupational health that is simpler, clearer, and more effective.
Guided by our HEROIC values, we take a modern, multidisciplinary approach to workplace health. Our occupational health advisers and physicians, mental health clinicians, and physiotherapists work together to deliver the right support at the right time helping clients reduce absence, prevent long-term cases developing, and support safe, sustainable returns to work.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Occupational Health Advisor/Vaccinator to join our Occupational Health team.
We are looking for a suitably qualified person ideally with previous experience as an Occupational Health Advisor, and with recent experience of administering vaccinations and immunisation programmes to join us and become a part of our journey. As an occupational health vaccinator, you must be one of the following:
Registered nurses, midwives and nursing associates currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC); operating department practitioners, paramedics and physiotherapists registered in Part 13, 8 or 9 of the Health and Care Professions Council register; Pharmacists registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Our people are absolutely key to our business, which is why we make sure that we look after them. Read on to find out more about the role, who we’re looking for and what we offer in return!
What you’ll be doing:
This is a dual aspect role which involves undertaking occupational health management referrals and delivering immunisation programmes.
- Approximately 3-4 days a week you will work from a customer site based clinic in central Ipswich providing a variety of occupational health vaccinations and blood tests to university students whom are due to attend clinical work placements. You will be expected to see approximately 30 patients a day and will work in the clinic alone, although you will have lots of remote support from our wider clinical and operations teams. Therefore, you must be comfortable managing a small clinic independently, this includes both the clinical and administrative aspects of ensuring the success of the clinic.
- Completing occupational health management referrals in person and over the telephone/video-link and producing high standard and quality management advice reports for our customers.
- Undertaking pre-employment screening reviews including over the telephone assessments.
- Working on and towards the Innovate Purpose and contributing to the organisation’s culture and values.
What you’ll get in return:
- 33 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays, plus a birthday day off
- membership of the Simply Health Cash Plan
- gym and retail discounts
- long service awards
- significant life event leave
- an annual physical health allowance
- family friendly benefits
- a refer a friend scheme worth £250 for each successful referral
- a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, including face-to-face and virtual counselling.
Innovate Healthcare is committed to promoting equality, eliminating unlawful discrimination, and building a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We want to create an inclusive working environment where everyone has equal opportunities to develop, contribute, and fulfil their potential. As part of the Disability Confident scheme, we commit to offering an interview to a fair and proportionate number of disabled candidates who apply through the scheme and meet the minimum criteria for the role. If you are invited to take part in our recruitment process, we will also ask whether you need any reasonable adjustments.
An enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for this role.
If you require any assistance with the application process, please contact the People and Culture Team on people@innovatehmg.co.uk
