Role: Creative Content Designer

Contract Type: Permanent

Are you a creative designer who loves transforming ideas into engaging visual content? If you're passionate about creating impactful designs that inform, inspire and connect with audiences across digital, print and social channels, we'd love to hear from you.

We are seeking a talented Creative Content Designer to join our External Communications team and play a pivotal role in shaping how our nationally recognised business units communicate, engage and inspire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile designer who combines strong technical expertise with a creative mindset. You'll be responsible for creating engaging visual content that supports a range of audiences, including consumers, businesses, regulators, industry stakeholders and the media.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating engaging and impactful print and digital creative assets that bring our brands and business objectives to life.
  • Using your creativity and design expertise to transform complex information into compelling visual stories that resonate with a wide range of audiences.
  • Championing and evolving our brand identities, ensuring consistency while introducing fresh and innovative design solutions where appropriate.
  • Developing and enhancing branded resources and templates that empower colleagues across the organisation to deliver professional, high-quality communications.
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across our business units, providing creative support and guidance on a diverse range of projects.
  • Maintaining and continually improving our creative asset libraries, ensuring valuable design resources remain organised, accessible and easy to use.
  • Helping shape the visual experience of our external channels by reviewing and refreshing website imagery and content, with consideration for user experience and responsive design.
  • Bringing fresh thinking and new ideas by staying ahead of design, content and digital trends and applying them to your work.
  • Exploring opportunities to expand your skills across motion graphics, video production, photography, image editing and social media content creation.
  • Playing an active role in enhancing how our organisation communicates and engages with audiences through creative excellence.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • A strong portfolio that showcases your creativity, versatility and ability to deliver engaging work across digital, print and social channels.
  • At least two years' experience in a creative design, content creation or multimedia role, with a proven ability to create high-quality content for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, with confidence in producing professional, print-ready artwork.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to take ownership of projects and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning, developing new skills and embracing opportunities to grow within the role.

Preferred Background

  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or other multimedia and animation tools.
  • Experience designing and publishing reports, research papers or annual publications.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media content creation with an engagement-focused approach.
  • Experience creating and managing website assets through Content Management Systems such as WordPress or Craft CMS.
  • Photography, image editing and copywriting experience.
  • A relevant qualification in design, multimedia, communications or a related discipline would be beneficial, although a strong portfolio and demonstrable experience are equally valued.

To support your application and be considered for this opportunity, please provide a portfolio demonstrating your relevant work and experience.
